How to use it
Hydrate it for 30–40 minutes in vegetable broth or warm water before cooking. Once rehydrated, drain it well and use it as a base for Bolognese, chili, tacos, burgers, or empanada filling.
Quick recipe, Vegan Meatballs
Ingredients:
- 1 cup textured pea protein
- ½ cup vegetable broth
- ¼ cup breadcrumbs
- 1 small onion + 2 cloves garlic
- 1 tbsp. soy sauce, 1 tsp. oregano, salt and pepper
Preparation: Hydrate the protein for 40 min and drain. Sauté onion and garlic. Mix everything, form balls, and brown in a pan for 5–7 minutes. Serve with your favorite sauce.
